About Indigo Tunel
Knit, woven and tricot. Now all indigo.
Indigo Tunel is a pioneering textile technology company and the only company in Türkiye specialised in indigo rope and yarn dyeing. We are a dynamic team with deep experience at every stage, gained at leading companies in the denim market.
Since 2019 we have produced at our plant in the Adana Hacı Sabancı Organised Industrial Zone, serving customers in Türkiye and abroad with 120 tonnes of monthly capacity and industry-standard rope dye technology.
In Türkiye, indigo-dyed yarn is usually made in limited quantities by integrated mills with vertical fabric lines. We make it in our own plant for every tricot, knit and woven fabric maker, and deliver it to ateliers, brands and mills of any size, in the quantity and at the time they need. With our woven and knit collections, we keep pushing the limits of what indigo-dyed yarn can do.
Always by your side
From producing and dyeing the yarn to weaving it and using it in new ways, we know every stage of denim manufacturing. Our consultancy service is easy to reach whenever you need it, so you get the best results in your production.

Why indigo
Life began under a blue sky and inside blue oceans. Indigo, the oldest blue we know, has been dyed by people for five thousand years, and it still defines the world’s favourite fabric.
Life between two shades of blue
Because life began between the sky and the sea, blue has always been called the colour of life, and indigo is its most ancient shade. We find it on cotton mummy wraps from ancient Egypt, on Mesopotamian tablets, in Pakistan and in the remains of ancient Greece.
The ever-fashionable colour
Blue jeans first appeared as the uniform of blue-collar workers in the mid-19th century. Worn by Hollywood stars, artists and musicians, they became essential on catwalks and in wardrobes, and in more than 170 years indigo has not lost any of its popularity. Today, thanks to modern production, it reaches from ready-to-wear and accessories to underwear and home textiles.

Frequently asked questions
What is rope dyeing?
Rope dyeing is the method behind authentic indigo denim: the yarn is dyed in rope form, which gives a depth and evenness of shade that other methods cannot match. We use high-tech rope dyeing for cellulosic fibres and blends, with consistent colour and tone in every yarn type and thickness.
Which yarns and yarn counts do you dye?
Cellulosic fibres and their blends, in rope thicknesses from Ne 7/1 to 36/1 and yarn counts up to Ne 50/1. We dye in three colour groups: Pure (classic, bright indigo), Blue/Black (deep, characterful dark tones) and Black (intense, saturated, lasting).
Can you dye yarn that we supply?
Yes. Send us the yarn you have sourced and we dye it to our quality standards (commission dyeing). If you prefer, our team analyses your needs, sources the right yarn and delivers it dyed.
Which certificates do you hold?
GOTS, OCS 100, OCS Blended, GRS, RCS 100, RCS Blended, Better Cotton, Sedex, ISO 9001 and I-REC. We also follow the UN Global Compact and use ZDHC-approved dyestuffs and chemicals.
Where do you produce, and how much?
Our plant is in the Adana Hacı Sabancı Organised Industrial Zone, Türkiye, where we have produced since 2019 with 120 tonnes of monthly capacity. Our head office is in Kadıköy, İstanbul.
